ORY Airport was clean, pretty well organized and the lines moved quickly. We ran into a snag when we were going through security checkpoint because the new rules on liquids were not clear with some of the agents and we ended up having to empty out our bags to put things that we didn't consider liquids into clear, plastic bags and we were almost done and were considering throwing things away until a more experienced agent came and told us to put everything back in our bag and put it through the x-ray machine.

The agents for the airline we flew on were not the most pleasant

First time I've every been through this airport and it really worked out for me. Was much closer to my relatives than Charles DeGaulle. It's pretty easy to take a shuttle or tram from here. It will be a bit of walk to get one end to the other though.

One of the worst airports that I have experienced in a long time. Orly is dated, crowded, and badly designed. We practically had to wait for almost an hour just to check-in because they didn't schedule enough workers to support the hundreds of travelers trying to check in and to get to their gates. Once you get through check-in, you have to go through security checks where they practically strip you bare but I still got chirped by the x-ray machine as I walked through. They moved me aside and started their rubbing me with their chemical testing pad of which they found nothing. I could have told them that all I had was downing a can of COKE before we headed to the airport.

Confusing airport with terminals that are separated. Be prepared to walk 15+ minutes to go between them. Also there aren't enough seating at the terminals and at the gates.

For shorter flights this airport is okay. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you have a long layover. Check in before you arrive and save yourself the trouble of having to check in here.

You don't have to take off your shoes when you go through security.

I'm not sure why there so much hate and disdain for Paris' other international airport. Orly is traveler friendly, updated, and less crowded.

Compare that to CDG, it's crowded, older, and not user friendly.

We arrived in and departed out of Orly on French Bee and our overall experience was hassle free.

If you're looking to travel into Paris, consider flying into Orly.

We flew into Paris on Iberian from Madrid. We found the airport to be very easy to navigate with signs in many languages. Lots of clean automated bathrooms. It was a treat to have plenty of free luggage carts here. We weren't lugging our bags up & down escalators, it was a quick easy walk and :10 wait on the taxi line. We paid the flat fee of €32 to get from the airport to our hotel near the Eiffel tower, it took about a half an hour in traffic.

I've only ever flown in and out of CDG but on my most recent trip to Paris I flew into Charles De Gaulle from EDI and out of ORY to DUB.

Orly is to CDG what BUR is to LAX, the smaller, nearer, calmer airport in my opinion. I always grab an Uber (I'm great with the Métro but I don't do it with hand luggage to/from the airport) and this last visit my Uber to ORY was 33euro less than CDG.

I'd definitely suggest checking your routing and airfare choices when traveling in and out because this is a great option.

If I could rate this lower, I would. I'm disabled and we went on the website in advance so that the airline know that that was the condition. We also told them when we checked in and we had to sit in some corner while we wait for the wheelchair person to come by. It turns out (and no one tells you this) that the wheelchair person doesn't come by until after your flight lands then they pick you up to take you through the gates. But since you don't know that you can't go to the bathroom or do anything because you're waiting for these people to come but they don't tell you this. Do not come to this airport if you want to singled as you will be neglected.

I absolutely abhor flying through Paris. They seem to always make travel so complicated and stressful.

I never have issues in Frankfurt or Amsterdam. Always, always, always Paris.

And given that my trip to Paris five years ago was also a nightmare, I hate this city with a passion.

At least in Italy they don't make you take out liquids. In Paris, they contribute to the pollution of our planet by handing everyone a plastic bag to put all our plastic toiletries in containing 100ml liquids or less.

I come here and I am reminded about how pathetic our society can be.

Given than I give plenty of five star reviews on this platform, you know I absolutely hate something if I give it one star.

I wish I could give Orly -10. Not even the macaron stands make up for this mess of a transit hub.
