What a wicked space! Seriously - it's like you've taken the village hall you had your Brownies meetings in and plonked it in east London. Small communities need places like this. Today I went here for a craft fair and even though it was small it was perfectly formed.
The hall actually looks like a little church with wooden floors and really gothic looking tall windows without being too echoey and intimidating. A perfect place for a family knees-up if you as me. It's owned by the same guy who has got the pizza place next door so it's totally local run - super cute if you ask me! There are basic catering facilities, loos and tables and chairs to hire. Great for a party!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Diana F.Thornton Dale, United Kingdom0118 Sept 2012
We chose Abney Hall for our wedding reception last weekend (Sep 15th 2012) and we had the perfect day. The family owners of the hall answered every question with "no problem" and the family worked alongside us to make sure everything worked smoothly. All the practicalities such as deliveries, catering, music, decorating, providing cups of tea and clearing up were taken care of in a relaxed, yet efficient way. We had exactly the occasion we wanted, and we cannot recommend Abney Hall more highly as a choice of venue. Thank you.
