Really bad sushi restaurant. The choice for sushi and other dishes is small. You just find sushi with salmon and cucumber. Sometimes with avocado. And also the taste of the food is not fresh and you will find a lot of finished products.
The stuff was friendly, but i don't wanna recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 5 May 2013
This place has a Sushi train and since I had been missing those we thought we would pay this place a visit. This place is not fancy and has an all you can eat in 30 mins type or approach or an a la carte menu.
The choices on the sushi train are fairly limited but most of the stuff I had tasted good. The miso soup was also really good and the tapioca pudding for dessert was sickly sweet and divine :-)
It is very reasonable and is near the university so I assume they cater to the student population and have to be reasonable. I would come back here again but come a bit earlier to try more things.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Colleen C.Austin, United States42342786271925 Feb 2012
So, I was two Spaten deep at Bar Sehnsucht on an empty stomach and was in dire need of some sustenance. Dire as in, "try not to make an American fool of myself." Mission, start.
Logically, one would want something quick. Duck in, duck out, back at the bar before anyone notices I had "Irish goodbye'd" temporarily in search of food. I had planned on popping over to Turka Kebap, but horror of all horrors. CLOSED. Really, kebap place near Universitat and a bunch of bars full of drunk German college folk!? Fine.
Should've gone to Nam Nam. I did nam. I went to Asaka. Why? I don't know. Perhaps because they were open and the conveyer belt was running...and it was close. Ok, fine. Sushi, let's do this.
$19.80 for all-one-can-eat off the conveyer belt. No thanks, the pickings looked slim. I just kept seeing an orange slice rolling around. I did not find this to be a good deal.
I ordered the Maki Bento Box...which came out with a generous helping of kimchi/seaweed salad, two sad little mini eggrolls (like the kind you buy in a freezer bag), and a HUGE AMOUNT OF RICE. There were some small fish pieces in that rice. I think they were supposed to be sushi rolls.
On the upside, the huge amount of rice soaked up my sinful belly of beer and kept me on my A game (ok B+game) for the duration of the night, in which I not only remained upright, but upstanding!
I wouldn't recommend this place. Then again, I didn't come to Munich to eat sushi and in a sober mind, would've made better dining decisions. Perhaps it was the end of the night and quality suffered...but, hey. Lackluster at best on this night.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0
