The gist: a melange of fancy dress items, accessories and general knick-knacks.

      The good:
      - It's like an indoor market stall
      - You never know what you're going to find
      - The prices are usually cheap
      - It's really fun having a browse around
      - Very friendly
      - Makes a nice change from chain stores

      The bad:
      - You never know what you're going to find - some of it's just plain weird!
      - You will probably end up buying something you will regret when the photos come out
      - It's quite addictive!

      Conclusion:
      - Go and play!

An Aladdins Cave of costumes, accessories, old fashioned sweets. The shelves and every surface of the shop is beautifully adorned with a rainbow of colours, cloths, fabrics, wigs, shoesanything your little heart desires.

Erika is the magic lady who runs the place and has a team of interesting staff who adore her!

You can hire, buy, and if she's in a good mood or feels that the item in question fits you or your cause, take your chances and put in a bid!

Whatever the occasion, Bead Games will do you proud.

Erika is also actively involved in promoting the area and keeping the Cowley Road for the community. An inspiration!!!

It was herself and fellow residents that got the Cowley Road festival off the ground and each year they start the festival with a Teddy Bear's Tea Party.

This little shop is full of goodies - nip in if you're in need of fancy dress, there's loads of great stuff. I managed to find a brilliant cowboys and indians outfit - one of each! There's also a bit of jewelery, nick nacks like candles, joss sticks and ornaments, as well as some other clothes.

Reasonably priced and a good range of items - go in for a present with a difference or an outfit that stands out.
