A comfortable American style coffee shop run by young and friendly couple. Good music, nice chairs and interior plus free wlan.
Cafe Bohne is a perfect place for a cup of your favorite caffeinated beverage (all the standard espresso-based drinks are available plus filter coffee, hot chocolate and tea) plus an excellent slice of home-made cake. The seating area is rather small, but is helped by some tables and chairs in front of the building. The place is usually packed with people during weekends, and it also open on Sundays as of late.
My only complaint is -- and it breaks my heart to say this, since I really like the place -- that the coffee does not really meet the expectations set by the nice surroundings and the impressive espresso machine. The espressos are somewhat bitter but still lacking in flavor. Fortunately they are served with a glass of water. Most customers seem to prefer their sugar with coffee and cream, so they probably don' t care.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Krista D.Hamburg, Germany15428 Oct 2013
This cosy coffee house brews one of the best cups of Joe in Hamburg. Besides the usual coffee drinks (regular, cappuccino, latte, etc.), they offer seasonal specialties. Today I tried their Herbst Kaffee Macchiatto--espresso, steamed milk, pistachios and chocolate--sublime! Their croissants come from a French bakery (try the Mehrkorn) and they're delicious.
The employees are friendly, the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, the coffee is excellent. All this in a charming Dorf near the Elbe Einkaufzentrum, yet worlds apart. I highly recommend Cafe Bohne.
There's parking on the street or on the Rewe lot across the street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
