Inexpensive? Nope. Really nice staff with great and caring customer service? Yes, definitely.

I bought a gorgeous and pricy pair of glasses here a couple of years ago and they've taken care of me ever since. £25 for my eye exam, £90 for my lenses (my vision is quite poor).... not gonna tell you how much I spent on my frames... but all taken care of promptly and with a smile. They even helped me no problem when I wanted to order my contacts in the US (they had to send my prescription) rather than through them because it was cheaper. When I broke said expensive frames (that colour was sadly discontinued), they offered to order two pairs of the same frames in different colours so I could try them out.

Sure, you can get inexpensive glasses elsewhere, but this is a small, privately owned optometrist that will really take care of your vision... stylishly!

In 20 years, I have NEVER had someone take so much time and care with my eyes. Stigmatism with contact lenses are difficult to get right. For years, I have seen very poorly. The level of detail taken to ensure my prescription was the correct one, was astounding. We even walked outside and made SURE it was the best one. There was an absolute emphasis and doing things the RIGHT way, not for profit but for the value of good work. Lovely family owned establishment, very good hearted, with an astounding work ethic.

My ophthalmic history is messy, including an ill advised radial keratotomy in 1987, laser-surgery-gone-wrong in 2009, a corneal transplant in 2013 & cataract surgery in 2016. In the past I've gone to various high street chains & paid £££ for glasses that completely failed to improve my vision. I appreciate that most optometrists can correct straightforward myopia/presbyopia but if you have more complex issues, I can't recommend Eyelevel highly enough. As previous reviewers have noted, this is the place to go if your vision is difficult to correct. (Or as it says in the song: I can see clearly now...!)
