Galeria Kaufhof is a nice and big department store close to the main station. It is located in a nice old house. There are several floors and a big variety of products. I personally like the food section in the basement, as they offer brands that are hard to find in normal German grocery shops. If you get hungry while shopping, there is a buffet restaurant on the top floor.

Good selection of branded stuffs from housewares to clothing. The toy section is really nice. They also have a souvenier shop at the lower level & they come in affordable prices. Over all, the experience was good. Definitely will go back.

Kaufhof is a very classic department store, except that they probably have more departments than any other store I've seen in Hamburg. There's nothing the Kaufhof doesn't have - from kitchenware to electronics, from cosmetics to underwear, from food to furnishings and everything in between.
To be honest, one of the main reasons I like shopping here is because they accept credit card, which is not something easily said about businesses in Hamburg. This is great when you don't have cash on hand, especially if you're a tourist in Hamburg with an international credit card.
I absolutely love their international food section, which is where I go to get my Swiss Miss and Pop Tart fixes as well as foods I know from home, such as Wissotzky tea and Elite Coffee.
One star off the ratings because their service is meh.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
