Got my hair colored here while I was having a vacation. I got half of my hair highlights done with hair cut
they came out beautifully. before my hair is like shaggy style so they fix it and I really love it. I would love to visit this place again if im in town.
I have now my short ombre hair thank you.

Great service and knowledgeable staffs. I got a color, hair treatment, and a cut. I was very happy with the results. I will go there again if I'm in town.

I searched a long while for a good salon and there was rave on Convo. I wanted to chop my long hair and i thought Japanese salon would do a good job. I used to patronised this will know Japanese salon but wanted to try another and is daring with colours.

First I called to tell them I'm looking for a stylist that is good in short hair styling. when i arrived the stylist assigned me according to the website forte was medium and long .

She showed me some designs and i pointed to the design that i wanted and the colours

I was utterly disappointed by the cut ! The cut was nothing like the magazine so i told her to give me volume but she didn't and i told the colour was still dark and she replied this is the lightest.

I paid so much for cut and colour and the result was disastrous! My hair is so flat and it doesn't have a nice shape and volume . The colour isn't able to compensate the bad hair cut.

Furthermore , the place is so hot with spotlight shining on one seat , I highlighted to the stylist I'm feeling hot and with towel wrapped around my neck tightly during the cut and colour didnt help at all.

It has been a long time since i felt so unhappy about a haircut and I have to spend again to ratify this cut :-

Disappointed to the MAX! What a waste of money

Japanese concept hair salon with products from Japan. Beautiful clean salon with friendly, young and trendy staff. You guessed it, they are also from Japan. They've only been open for a couple of years but were well visited. Start your hour of relaxation with a nice shampoo in their reclining chairs. These are the most comfortable shampoo chairs I've ever sat in, you actually lie down so your neck isn't in that awkward bent back position.

My stylist Marco was phenomenal, even threw in a neck & shoulder massage after my shampoo. I have a short hairstyle that's not easy to style (growing out a faux hawk) and Marco did a great job making it look like an actual hairstyle.

Happened to be right next to my hotel, the Naumi Liora. Highly recommend this place.
Shampoo and blow out came to S$28 since they were running a new client special.

Japanese service, Japanese efficiency, Japanese style...I can't decide which I like better. Stylist Yui is cheerful, polite and offers good expert advice. Unlike my hair appointments at other salons, I'm in and out within an hour. And to top it off Yui gives a mean massage! The only downside - $90 for short haircut.

I was visiting singapore for a few days and wanted to get my hair colored. I searching and searching and finally settled for this salon as it was like 10 mins away from where I was and the review on yelp was good.

The place was small nothing Big but very comforrable and i like the little private space each client has. The staff very welcoming and friendly , this is a japanese saloon my hairdresser was Yuya such a sweet and lovely guy he didnt speak much english but the receptionist helped us in translating he recommended few colors and i decided to throw caution to the wind and told him I'll leave everything to him and let him choose the color he took care of me and my hair.

Long story short i loved the experience they take care of you. You will feel relaxed. I went in with a specific color in mind but walked out with a different one and have no complaints I LOVE IT ! Highly recommend this place and the price is very affordable .

The Japanese have great attention to detail when it comes to the manufacturing of their cars, crafting a cocktail, and cutting hair. Therefore, I was intrigued by the review of Covo by Ute L., and I stopped by for my first haircut in Singapore. After moving to 5 different cities in the past decade, I can tell you that finding a hair stylist in a new town can be traumatic. Fortunately, my hair grows very quickly and even a bad cut is temporary. But with Covo, my first trip was impressive and I've already found my salon in Singapore. The shampoo is truly amazing. I've never had a shampoo with carbonated spring water, but they make an interesting case on how it effectively removes oil or sebum from your scalp. My stylist was also Ryu (or Marco) and communicating with him was a breeze and end result was exactly what I had in mind - actually even better. He also offered solid advice on products and how to style my hair in the heat and humidity. Price for a men's cut was $90, which is similar to my stylist in Seattle and much cheaper than my stylist in SF. Although Covo primarily has Japanese customers, I would definitely recommend the salon for anyone looking for a detailed cut. It's not as luxurious or posh as some of the other high end salons, but I love the small boutique feel of the place and attention to detail.

Here is my review on Covo Tanjong Pagar:

Ambience - A bit let down with the salon's ambience. Do not be deceived by the pictures and raves from sponsored bloggers.

Haircut - Stylist Marcus using scissors to razor cut my hair and was not too pleased with the outcome. Stylist promised easy to maintain hairstyle but end up messy. After haircut, I was given a quick blow dry and up-do look. Because of the messy cut, the up-do could not sustain and has to be undone. Left the salon looking unkempt as stylist didnt bother to redo my hair.

Verdict - I would not go back there even if I am paid or sponsored.

I was there in Nov 2014 and got my haircut plus body perm with Marco. 2 years forward, I'm already planning to have the same thing done with him again this August when I go back to Singapore. I live in the States by the way. Sadly, I checked their website, I couldn't find Marco name anymore. All stylists have changed ;-(( Where did Marco go? I was very satisfied with my haircut and perm. OMG, the body perm that he promised really was lasted a year. I've done body perm in various Japanese salons in San Francisco, but only lasted 2-3 months. My hair did not get damaged a bit. I'm so sad, I cannot find Marco anymore.................. The salon was 5 stars in 2014. Marco if you read this, please send me a private message.
