I have lovely memories of sitting in the lobby to have tea and drinks. It's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful neighborhood. I would absolutely stay here someday.

I was very impressed during my three night stay here. The rooms were first class. Very elegantly decorated with all the amenities of a downtown hotel. The bathroom was huge and included a shower and a bathtub, complete with cable TV!

Lobby was very modern with the Waldorf Astoria pleasing scent.

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. For what ever reason, my bags were not loaded on my flight and the airline sent it on the next flight out. I arranged for the airline to deliver my bags to this hotel. The bags actually arrived before I did and the staff immediately put it in my room with fresh fruit and bottled water to say welcome.

All guests have access to the grounds of Syon Park and conservatory. A very relaxing hotel for guests to recharge and escape the busy city.

The hotel is actually a ways outside of downtown London and not really near a train stop. That's what makes this hotel special. Perfect to get away and relax before diving into the bustle of London.

"Sleep in the park, wake up with the birds. It's not a dream - it's Waldorf Astoria. If you are weary of the concrete jungle, escape to the country and find your better nature."

London Syon Park sits at the edge of the two hundred acre Syon House estate, a pastoral English setting that has served as the country home of the Duke of Northumberland for over 400 years.

A room key opens not just the door to an elegant guestroom; it also opens the gate to a wonderful garden in Syon Park. Syon House, the London residence of the Duke of Northumberland, offers a chance to tour the last surviving ducal estate in Greater London. Explore the magnificent estate and private apartments, enjoy the Great Conservatory and forty acres of gardens, and soak up the timeless magic of an aristocratic country home.

I have never stayed at a Hilton chain and had such awful service. I stayed at the Hilton Syon Park for 3 nights. I was there for a wedding and it seems the bar and restaurant staff were not informed they would be having large parties for the weekend and that the hotel would be at capacity. The bar staff couldn't handle taking multiple drink orders at one time (and mind you we were all ordering the same drink!) and in some cases it would take 30 minutes to get a drink! One of my cousins ordered a water - that's right a WATER, and the bartender went away and 15 minutes came back and when she asked again told her he would get to her and then served someone else first.
For one of the nights we had a rented out the patio area and that included a bar tab and the bartender still was rude to us when we were ordering!
The breakfast staff when some of us ordered off menu rather than buffet looked put out. We were going to be paying extra for it so I'm not sure why it was a problem.
It was a bit sad that the staff was so unwelcoming because the hotel itself is beautiful. We enjoyed going to the Conservatory and taking photos our there as well as sitting in the patio area.
Considering this is a Hilton property I was extremely shocked and surprised that they were not trained the same as all other Hilton properties. I've been to others in different countries and never had this type of service.

I helped throw a family wedding at this Hilton location and this was by far the worst hotel service experience I've ever had. The staff was openly rude and unhelpful to guests and patrons. I've never left Yelp or any site review but I felt compelled to do so after four days of ridiculous service. For point of reference, I've stayed at Hilton and Hampton properties in Australia, Singapore, US, UK (Avisford Park, non-Syon London, etc), Central America, and South America. Please do not have your event here.

There is always upsides and downsides to a hotel being quiet especially one this size. It was a weird feeling walking round such a big hotel with no one in sight, looking across the window to see rows of empty rooms and balconies. That was what it was like on a Friday afternoon. We did get used it and actually enjoyed the quietness and used the opportunity to the explore the gardens and the outdoor in peace. The sound of birds chirping outside became sound of music and located right next to Syon Park, a park full of lush greens, so quiet is what you need. The only other residents we did find were in the public area and I suppose this is when it's an advantage as the gym area was never too crowded and had it's quiet time for us to use the Jacuzzi.
The facilities were great. It's not easy to find an indoor pool in a hotel in London. With a gym, a swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and spa room it does provide most of the entertainment lacking in the area. It's nothing too fancy and there is definitely room for improvements.
1.Women's changing room smelt really bad. All the shower gel/shampoo had run out.
2.There was no clear instructions given on how to use the lockers.
3.Although there were water facilities there was no bin to dispose the cups and so collected on the side
4.Chairs beside the pool were made of a lining material that stained white and look really unhygienic to sit on after someone else has.
Not like any of these problems were so bad it ruined our experience but for such a high class hotel we expected better.
Overall it was a lovely clean hotel, well maintained in the rest of the areas including the gardens where we constantly saw staff water and trim the grass. Room service was done efficiently with all our toiletries and teas replenished. When we had nothing to do it was such a nice wander around the surroundings, along the a path in a nice open field across to this cosy traditional pub called The London Apprentice for a drink. It was right beside the Thames and the view made everything worthwhile.
We would have preferred to be given some sort of entertainment and walk guides of the area rather than be told by other guests and by our own two feet. Service did feel a little aloof.
There was a nice brightly coloured themed bar called the Peacock Alley at the hotel with live music which we personally found too loud to enjoy each other's company but it was very comfy with it's leather seating and a very friendly bar staff.
As the weekend approached it did get busier as we saw the other guests in the breakfast buffet area. I was very happy with the selection with cold platters of cheese, mackerel and cold meats available, different variety of bread loafs, pastries, yogurts, fresh juices, porridge, fruit salads to the hot buffet selection with all the essentials to make up your full English/veg breakfast. You can even request for your eggs to be cooked fresh and pancakes too. They were delicious although staff need to replenish the buffet quicker as a queue formed just waiting upon an empty container.
Our Queen deluxe bedroom was great containing a king size bed, nice and firm and enough lighting to have a bright room with the large 42" LCD TV and a smaller one in the shower room. A kettle, iron and hairdryer was all provided and everything in working order. But as night approached we found a light flickering outside and over the three days we were there it was still not fixed. The pillows given were also a bit too soft but it was nice to have a pillow menu to change it.
I think what really surprised us was how delicious our 'Posh Nosh pizza' we ordered from room service was. Crust was crispy but still nice and doughy inside with a good amount of stringy cheese on top. Pepperoni was still succulent and meaty and with the anchoives, they perfectly salted the pizza. I also love how the mushrooms were diced so the texture blended into the pizza and really releasing its flavour. A really good pizza so even for £20 after £5 tray fee, it was worth it.
Overall the stay was pleasant. The most memorable part would probably always be the pre recording talking corridor which either sends out animal sounds or weird random facts. Staff was pleasant and smiley enough and we got the break we needed. Make sure if you book this hotel pick a place where breakfast is included or it can cost quite a bit. Also this is a hotel for a sleep in as there is not much to do in the area unless you are willing to travel out in which public transport links are very conveniently nearby.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Syon Park for a wedding and have never felt more unwelcome at a hotel. See points below:
-Unlike many other hotels, don't expect a smile from their staff when you come into the hotel.
-The bar staff was the absolute worst. They were rude, not properly staffed to manage the crowds on the weekend. They did not want to serve anyone, and when they did, it was like we were asking for their first born child. Also to the point where the bartender yelled at the bride for talking to loud. IT WAS HER WEDDING. SHE PAID A LOT OF MONEY TO HAVE HER WEDDING THERE.
-We had asked for an adjoining family room, and when the second room checked in, they gave us a key for a room that was OCCUPIED. When we opened the door, people were IN THE ROOM!!!!
-They did not have enough people during check out, so we waiting in a long line
-When we got to the front, they overcharged our room and we still haven't received the refund
-There are more... but in short, please consider staying elsewhere.

Williefa on the Reservation desk has just made my day. She took my afternoon tea booking for 7 people, suggesting the best time and other options. Then when I told her I didn't want to get an email confirmation because I'd end up on some database, she didn't make me feel awkward. She went over and above what she needed to do to get me a text message through their system which is normally reserved only for accommodation confirmations. AND we had an unusually pleasant exchange while we were waiting for the system to work. Really smart lady who succeeded in doing her best for me even though she could have flatly refused "because the system didn't allow it." I feel that she respected my request for data privacy and provided an alternative despite having to go through technology hoops. It's this sort of reservation experience that is making me look forward to my visit. So many companies disappoint me on the lack of charming enthusiasm and interaction at the reservation stage. I now have weeks of positive anticipation about my upcoming visit to Hilton Syon!

Decor is pretty painfully kitsch, and everything is trying hard to look expensive, whereas it's actually not such fantastic quality. Surroundings are nice and pretty, but it's a really inconvenient place for transport links.

It my first time to the Waldorf here in syon park due to a business requirement and I am delighted and very happy with my choice! I'm having a mini break while on this trip! The staff are extra special and attentive while the restaurant offers excellent food. My room is outstanding! I'm going to find excuses to come back for pleasure! Make it your first choice! I will be!
