JHS Montessori Kindergarten

We moved to Singapore from the US, our primary concern was getting them into good, nurturing schools where the kids would love going to school, learn a lot, learn to be nice kids and where the teachers were wonderful. After having toured a number of schools in the River Valley / Orchard neighborhoods (including MindChamps, Brighton Montessori, International Skool plus a number of local preschools), we decided to send our son to JHS Montessori. We couldn't be happier we made that decision. Our son has learned so much, he loves school - and the teachers are wonderful. They are not push overs - the kids do learn and are challenged. But the teachers make it very fun - and there isn't a better principal around than the absolutely lovely Ms. Nicole. A bonus is that the school bus service is incredibly flexible and understanding of changing needs - when we first moved to Singapore, we moved 4 times before settling in, and we had varying schedules each day - and the school bus company made all of this incredibly easy for us by dropping off our son at different places and at different times! We will certainly miss JHS as we move on...

Highly recommend this school for anyone who wants the best teachers and school environment for their kids in the river valley area. Principal is also very proactive in ensuring the school remains safe for the children. Children really progress as good young individuals.
