Mill Park Cafe

Saw the great reviews and went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the cafe was closed. A local told me it was rarely open.

The fry-ups are great, the man who runs it is very friendly and good at his job.
The food is nice and quick.
You can look out of the windows and see the pond with lots of ducks.
Alot of workmen go into here but it is still family friendly and has highchairs.

Great place to go and have a traditional breakfast.
They do a set menu breakfast or order seperately.
Sausage,egg, bacon, tin tomatoes, beans, black pudding.
You can have normal sliced bread toast or the do a really nice uncut bread which is sliced and can be toasted with butter.
There are tables and chairs inside and table benches outside and you are sat right by the pond.
It is clean and tidy and really nice staff.

Pros This caff is well situated on the banks of the lake in Mill Park, next to a little jetty where the ducks and geese congregate. The cafe itself is a good size, with plenty of seats and tables, and serves up a limited chips'n'beans menu quickly. They're also happy to give bread for the ducks for free :)
The staff are friendly and happy and always up for a chat.


Cons It's not haute cuisine, but the prices are low and it's a nice area.
