Terrible experience today. Staff was ostentatiously rude. No need for it In any shop, let alone a charity shop. Avoid.

This is a very visible location for Oxfam, fairly centrally located on Highgate High Street and it does get very popular with book enthusists from the area and beyond. Its one of the main Oxfam bookshops and has a terrific range of stuff, including a really comprehensive travel section - though things like lonely planets and rough guides can be quite out of dayte, its worth double checking that you are about to buy a fairly new edition - plus great selections of biography and autobiography, arts, current affairs, cookery, history, gardening, self help, etc. theres also a big section of childrens books too. You may have to spend a bit of time looking through things to track down what youre after, but its normally here - or will come into the shop within a few weeks. Staff will be preapred to take your details and phone you if they spot something youre after. Highly recommended.

Great book store. They have every book you can think of and usually there is a bargain, so you can pick a cheap, but never the less very interesting book from there. There seems to be no order and can be pretty difficult to find a particular book, but here comes the friendly staff. They are always ready to help you out or recommend you something new to read. Even if the book you are looking for isn't there, they can stock it and it will be there in a couple of days.
