Poundland

Can very very busy, it's very cramped, but everything is a pound.
As has been previously mentioned, always check that things aren't cheaper elsewhere before buying, but there are very few places you can get some of the electronic nick-nacks for a pound.

what a great shop, i found lots of items in here that were obviously a pound that i have paid up to a fiver more for elsewhere, every trip i take into town has to have a stop off at the poundland store although i do tend to buy a lot more just because its cheap. Staff always seem happy to help and are willing to have a look for something you need just to keep you a satisfied customer.

As pound shops goes a pretty average shop stocking allsorts of bargains, It is very hard to move around the shop with a pram or wheel chair, stuff is easy to find and all in a system this shop does tend to have very long queues, with little space for stansding so again trying to get through wth pram or wheel chair is best at 9am in morning fiorst thign when the shops are pretty empty, i would never venture into this shop on a weekend, far far too busy

Poundland is as you would expect it to be, a £1 shop. There are your normal bargains in there, which you may get from any £1 shop, but not much else in this store.
If I use this store, I tend to stock up on things like batteries, hot chocolate and sweets. These things are always good value and come in really handy.
The store is well placed in the Prospect Centre, but can be hard to get around with a pram, as the aisles are quite narrow. But if you are after some staple supplies, I would definately suggest popping in as it's always worth a look.
