Restaurant Bootshaus

Decent food, lousy service. We saw this at all tables and very disappointed. The waiters really made it clear that they did not want be there serving their customers. We are still waiting for water which we requested a while ago. We are ordering dessert now. Very disappointing. I will never come back or recommend this place to stay one.

This place looks like it has potential for a great restaurant in a small city: good location (restaurant with a river view), food bargains (bf spoke of great brunches and lunch buffets), and weekly events (live music).

We went during weekday off-hours shortly before dinner, and the hostess was willing to seat us before dinner starts. Since it wasn't dinner time, we were only offered a "snack" menu. Thinking it would only be snacks, we ordered veal schnitzel with fries, ofenkartoffel (baked potato) with BBQ chicken with curry mustard, and 2 salads. Uh, not snacks! Those 'snacks' were entree-worthy: salad was filled with various vegetables with a great viniagrette, and I really liked the baked potato (usually not a preference of mine). It was nicely cooked, and the BBQ chicken were tasty with the curry that I couldn't stop eating them both.

Knowing the food is delicious, I might just have to come back to try the brunches/buffets or see the live music.

Ein Manko wenn so reger Betrieb sind Unterhaltungen kaum möglich :(
