Riva Reno

Riva Reno is so good, my friend went back the next day for more gelato. Specifically the pistachio was to die for. If you can only do one flavor, that's the one....and this is coming from someone who is not normally a pistash fan.

Lines at Riva Reno can be hit or miss. Sometimes I see no lines, other times quite long, but the line does move quick. Staff is excellent about moving quick and keeping things going. Friendly, too!~ And did I mention the prices are completely reasonable?

This chain shop is cute with a concoction section attached where you can watch them work on the gelato.

So, we've established pistachio is the best and a must get.
But also highly recommend the mango, creamy chocolate and bacio.
We could have skipped the Mallorca Fig seasonal flavor, as well as the Mint Stracciata which was a very classic mint flavor. Others love it though!

Heed my advice, Riva Reno is a must have while in Mallorca.

I can't figure out what's going on here. Perhaps it's UHT dairy ingredients? There's a mouth feel unlike any gelato I've had. This is the first gelato that I decided to toss as all things ice cream are my favorite dessert. This is very popular so you might really like it. The service was fast and efficient and its carry out on a nice placa. Easy walk to the marina area.

Reasons why Rivareno is THE spot:
1. Serves homemade Italian-style gelato ice cream, freshly made every day
2. Has at least 10 vegan options that are just not fruit sorbets (this is what spoiled looks like); highly recommend the pistachio and the hazelnut
3. Vegan waffle cones!
4. Located in front Llotja square with palm trees for shade
5. Open until 1am for y'all late-night partiers in La Lonja
6. Pistachio! Hazelnut! Because that deserves a repeat.

Not sure why the stellar review. I don't think of it as extremely memorable and I honestly thought it was way too sweet. Like sickly sweet. I had the pistachio and hazelnut as I am super partial to nut gelatos. So sweet. But situated so close to the church, of which we took some pics of and then promptly went searching for gelato. 4.50 euros for a medium cup/two flavors. I didn't think it was too pricey (I know I pay much more in the states) and they have many vegan options.

Great icecream, bit pricy but worth it.
If you go there at night, you might need some time to wait in line.

This place is SO DELICIOUS!!!!! Creamy, fresh, and bursting with flavor!! I literally got a scoop, walked outside, tasted it, and wanted to go back for more. My husband tried to reason with me, so we decided to walk around the island before coming back.

We got Contessa, stracciatella, Mint Stracciata (I love mint!), and Tiramisu.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST GELATO!! This is a chain in Italy and this is their first international location. It is family run and everything is made fresh every day. They have a small "laboratory" next door where they make the gelato. They have most of the typical gelato flavors and some specialty flavors as well. My favorite flavors were the bacio, pistachio, chocolate, and contessa. If you get a cone, they fill the cone with chocolate or white chocolate that hardens at the bottom of the cone after thy add the gelato.

It was a rather warm day in Palma Mallorca and since hubby and I weren't particularly hungry, we opted to skip lunch and just get gelato. I found Rivareno with the help of Yelp.

I picked 2 flavors with the first one being Bachio (chocolate & hazelnut with whole toasted hazelnuts). There really was a lot of hazelnut pieces. So delicious and I loved the crunch.

For the second flavor I picked Crema Fiorentina (custard cream w/honey and essence of lemon and orange peel). Super creamy and mild in flavor. Good but I loved the Bachio a lot more since the flavors were more intense.

The gelato is made fresh on site and it's obvious from the flavor and texture that they use premium ingredients. Big thumbs up!

Great little gelato and coffee shop in Palma de Mallorca. The staff is friendly and both the gelato and coffee are amazing. We probably back here 3-4 times in the four days we were here.

Sincerely the best gelato of my life. You're allowed to try flavors before choosing, too. Pistachio and cremino were both incredible. You can also fill your cone with chocolate.
