The food was real good except the vegetable fried rice which didn't taste as good as I expected. The overall all experience was very good, the atmosphere was heavenly, and the staff were really friendly and helping. It was pricey, but I guess that is due to being in the center and right next to Harrods, even though we only ordered one entree.

The best dumplings I've ever tries, steamed prawn dumplings with a creamy center

We basically ran in here on a rainy day because we were starving and my mom was craving chinese food (which is weird because she was visiting from Los Angeles where the asian food selection is much better and cheaper) after we had eaten one too many meat pies and bangers and mash. The menu looked decent enough for this part of town so we decided to sit down. Boy was that a bad decision!!!

The food was not very good, and the portions were extremely small. They also charged for every single cup of tea they poured without letting us know that they would be doing so. And since it was freezing outside, we guzzled the tea down like no other. They charged for every extra addition, and I was surprised they didn't charge us for using their chopsticks and washing our hands in their bathroom! We came in for a small afternoon snack and ended up with a bill of £55 without feeling like we ate much of anything.

I will certainly NOT be coming back here again, even if the prices here are (or at least SEEM to be) bearable for the neighborhood. Give me a Harrods cheese scone any day!

Awful. Although the food wasn't bad (once we got it) and surprisingly low-priced, considering the location, I certainly won't be coming back here. The service was absolutely abysmal, as we waited forty minutes to get two bowls of soup and a side order of spare ribs. Our waitress refused to acknowledge or speak to us after having taken our order, deliberately busying herself with refolding the spare tablecloths or checking and rechecking (... and rechecking) her other tables, though she did briefly flit back to glare at me when she realized I still hadn't received my food -- because obviously that was my fault!

Honestly, if you feel like having poor service with a mandatory 12.5% gratuity tacked onto your bill, then this is probably your best bet.

Very surprised to find a place so close to Harrods that was priced correctly.

Having only ordered the Dim Sum I can report the food was delicious, the hot sauce perfect (meaning actually spicy!) and the dishes arrived in a timely manner.

Staff were polite and very quick with taking orders and bringing the bill. I would eat the Dim Sum here again.

So I really thought the food wasn't bad... I had gotten food poisoning the day before, so I wasn't feeling most of the food in London. Fortunately this place was open at 3pm and close to Harrods and it smelled pretty good. We sat down and started looking at the large menu.. finally deciding on the roasted duck and pork soup noodle with a side of the pumpkin prawn dumpling. They serve dim sum all day, which is great. That means they only steam it when it's ordered.
The pumpkin in the dumpling was very sweet and gave the dumpling a very soft and creamy texture. very interesting.
The noodle was pretty standard with egg noodles, broth, and bok choy. The duck was pretty good. The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy and tender.

An elegant, upmarket Chinese restaurant (unsurprisingly, given its location) that works well - especially for larger groups - with an upstairs section of generously-sized round tables. The décor is chic: featuring orchids, serene ornaments, pale wood and dark marble.

Service is extremely efficient and very polite with the owner (almost) always on-hand to oversee the venue's smooth running. Frequented by an international clientele, the menu is quite comprehensive: main courses are mostly around the £12 mark. For me, the food-highlight was the Kung Po King Prawns - stunningly good and beautifully chilli-spiced.

We've been to this restaurant because it's close to work ... easy for lunch break. We sat inside ... and it was freezing. They only seemed to have small movable eaters. We requested having one placed closer to us, but it didn't make much of a difference. It has a very extensive menu and they have dim sum the whole day. The food is alright, but it's not great. There are so many better dim sum restaurants out there. Try to find them.

Nice atmosphere with table clothes but food had cooked yesterday flavor. Though we are only visiting we wouldn't return to this restaurant. Plus its quite pricy for lunch, 100 pounds for 4 with only 2 entrees.

I really don't seem to have the best of luck finding good Asian places in London. This place was ok, but nothing overly special at all. It's kind of hard for me to judge atmosphere because we were seated in a room with a table full of screaming kids with abysmal and incompetent parents. It was really annoying and took away from the whole dining experience for me. Kids aside, the food was fine, nothing too fabulous but tasty overall. I liked their house white wine a lot though, a lot better than I expected. The service was spotty, we never seemed to have a single server, but rather a lot of the manager's minions running about. For all this, the prices were a bit high I think. We went here to escape the hordes at Harrods food halls, so if you are faced with the crowds there or Shanghai, I would choose the latter!

I love Chinese food. Been here for dinner, lunch and a quick bite to eat. However like many other places along Brompton road they are not very impressive for the prices they are charging. Having tried many if their dishes I would out them above average. The service is good, helpful and quick. Very clean, nice and luxurious interior but very chilled and comfortable at the same time.
