We have visited this restaurant several times and are extremely happy with the service. The staff are always helpful, attentive, and ready to please. The Food is of the highest quality and the Menu offers a wide choice of diverse types of meals from fast snacks for local travellers or an extensive ala carte menu for evening out dining.
      Highly recommended venue.

It's worth visiting the Shepherds Rest Inn just for the view. The pub is on the top of a penine hill and is about 2 miles off the penine way. It's got spectacular views over the valley towards Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. The food has varied of the years from very good pub grub to 'ok' pub grub. I've not been in a few months so it may have changed again - was very good last time I went though.

Great views from outside, with a childrens play area and excellent parking. The food is above average for a pub, but has rather steep prices, and moderate size portions.
