Spar

When Woolworths closed down at the end of last year the Conwy Spar shop took the decision to move a few doors down the High Street to occupy their old property. Apparently the old Woolies was a larger shop although from what I remember of the old Spar it isn't all that bigger.


Having said that they have done a very good job in refitting the new shop. It's very clean and modern looking. As well as the usual convenience store produce you'll also find hot takeaway food, fresh coffee and in homage to Woolies there's also a 'pick and mix'.


Given it's location and a relative lack of competition it's usually busy and will no doubt be successful.

A very useful store in the High Street with a good selection of food and other items.
