Surf House Barcelona

The vibe of this restaurant is definitely the best part. The service was slow but sitting outside by the boardwalk in Barcelona near the beach is the best. The food was good. The chicken tenders were definitely the highlight and the burger was a double patty, juicy and cooked to perfection! The milkshake was a little plain but nice that they have dairy free options. Overall, great experience and definitely a favorite in Barcelona.

This spot gave me a the little bit of california i was missing while living in barcelona. The nachos were super good with a such a generous serving. The smoothies were also amazing and it was right outside on the beach so it was a vibe. Definitely elevated beach shack type of place perfect for those hot long summer days!

Good poke good chicken tenders , solid maybe wish there was a bit. more tuna...... .....

One of the best Burgers ever! The tacos with gambas eere great! And the rice paper with vegetables dipped in passiflora sauce, what a delightful treat. Great service and super nice ambience totally worth the travel from midtown.

Not really a 3 Star rating but also not a 4, they have both indoor & outdoor seating and we chose inside because there wasn't a wait.

Semi "Surfer Dude" atmosphere with mostly young clientele, complete with fairly loud techno music playing, it was a fun change of pace for lunch - and the food was pretty good!

The Rice Paper Rolls was an all vegi sushi roll that could have used something to give it more of a kick. The Tuna Poke over Quinoa,on the other hand, was very good.

The bill came to around $35 US with 3 beers.

I didn't care for this place at all. The young staff weren't that friendly to us when trying to get a table. The seating inside and outside was tightly cramped. The clientele here was also very immature. Not the best place to eat at all. The staff here need to learn how to smile!

Great lunch spot! The food and drinks were bomb and the menu had so many appealing options. The service was top tier and the food was prepared quickly.

The good:

Wow the food is amazing. Got the beef nachitos which were delicious and the Norwegian poke bowl (salmon) was also just as amazon. Nachos were so good we took what we didn't finish home, came back a few days later ordered them again and again took the rest home for dinner.

The bad:

The service. It's not bad it's just very unconventional from what an American is used to. They will let you sit as long as you want & there is no rush to turn your table even when they're is a line for tables. That is great as long as you are not in a rush. Every time you want to speak to a waiter you have to flag them down. Unlike in America they don't perceive this as rude, in fact they encourage this. The third time we went there during our Barcelona stay the waiter told us to flag him down when we were ready. This is only bad your first time, and as long as you know what to expect- you will have a much better experience.


Overall: Delicious food, albeit a slow meal. Worth going to multiple times. Must order the beef nachitos. Also worth trying the poke bowl, the steak tataki, and the avocado toast.

The food was amazing and the drinks were superb. The service was meh not so great but they were busy. If they were more attentive then I would have given 5 stars. Ex we had to wait 10 mins just to get greeted by our waiter to get water. This is what I mean by attentive. I would go again and just lower my expectations
