The East

I really enjoyed my dinner tonight. The place was clean, quiet and kind of romantic (lights dim and candles on the table). I really like how this restaurant is a mix of a Chinese buffet and a Mongolian Grill (dinner only). Our waiter was super nice, I don't remember his name but he provided an excellent customer service experience. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

My favorite Asian restaurant in Mannheim. We always ate here on days/evenings when the weather was very nice so we could eat outside. I'm not a big buffet fan so I ended up trying lots of sushi items off of the menu. I never had anything that I was disappointed in. My friends who were into buffets said that there was a huge variety of Asian fusion type foods on the buffet inside.

I just happen to come across this restaurant, because I was in Mannheim with my girlfriend. We were looking for a good sushi bar and had trouble finding a place and happen to come across "The East" while looking for a place to eat sushi. The food was not bad, better than a lot of Chinese places I've eaten at in Europe! They actually made pretty good sushi and have an excellent Mongolian barbecue. Customer service could be better though.

I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant very much, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The food was not special and not particularly good. Since I heard a lot of good things about The East I expected a lot more than what they had to offer eventually. There are much better asian restaurants in Mannheim.

Spacious with a pleasant ambience and very friendly service. Not too many vegetarian options unfortunately but what they had on offer was fresh and value for money. I noticed that there were lots of Asian customers, which I take to be a good sign. Well worth a visit.
